Adding paper and restarting colony
Hi
After my worms all passed away, I have been adding A LOT of cardboard and shredded newspaper. The consistency has improved, the smell has gone and it is no longer looking so wet. Is it ok to add shredded receipts to the wormery? I am particularly thinking of the shiny paper, that I understand contains a lot of china clay - would this help to balance the acidity? And finally, now that my wormery is smelling more like compost, would it be safe to restart with new worms on the old compost?
Thanks
